Co-founder and Partner

1983-1986

President and Director: The firm incorporated, raised seed capital, and expanded operations. Responsibilities included the direction of sales and marketing, in addition to general management.

VIVIGEN, INC., Santa Fe, New Mexico: a clinical genetic testing company, serving physicians, hospitals, and HMOs nationwide. In late 1992, Vivigen became a subsidiary of Genzyme Corporation.

Vice President: Responsibilities included the investigation of new technologies for potential business opportunities

President: Responsibilities included the direction of sales and marketing in addition to general management.  In 1988 and 1989, Vivigen was named one of "The Best Small Growth Companies in America" by Business Week magazine.

Associate: Two years of healthcare consulting projects included developing a strategy for an academic medical center in an increasingly competitive managed care environment, developing a national sales accounts program for an HMO, and reengineering of primary care delivery in a regional HMO.
